It is paradoxical that the current social landscape in the African continent and the Diaspora is littered with photo and fashion magazines, each critical of its predecessors and purporting to be the real deal. Yet amidst the plethora of magazines, there exist a deep media hole that needs to be plugged with a magazine that uniquely captures the virile social lifestyle of the African people. Today Unique Images is here to do just that.

At the risk of blowing our own trumpet, we make bold to say that Unique Images Magazine is truly unique and stands head and shoulder above all the other social magazines out there. This is the first social magazine that combines exquisite photojournalism with an intimate coverage of social events. We believe that every event is unique and that every individual has a story to tell. Consequently, our writers and editors take the time to interview all celebrants featuring in our magazine and elicit their unique story. Our dedicated team of fashion consultants spends countless hours reviewing photos and compiling the unique fashion and styles. Our designers agonize over every layout, every image and every arrangement. The result of this cohesive teamwork is a masterpiece that features, among other things, twenty-two pages of beauty extravaganza, the first of its kind in any one magazine. We expect that this magazine will become a treasure house for fashion hunters, social commentators and designers, and anyone who just desires to stay hip and glamorous and up to speed with the latest fashion.

The arrival of Unique Images also coincides with an era when Africans are setting aggressive social and economic goals for themselves and exceeding those goals. And true to tradition, Africans want to share their joys and regrets with their family and friends and with the rest of the world. There is no better place to read about these achievements than on the pages of Unique Images.

This inaugural issue of Unique Images Magazine features some of the most colorful events in 2005 and 2006. From the classy nuptials to the birthday parties, from the baby dedications to the farewell parties, we covered all the events that matter to Africans at home and in Diaspora. In addition, this issue and subsequent editions, feature fashion and style, articles on various aspects of life as well as words from our sponsors.
